Joint Preservation

Joint preservation refers to the use of nonsurgical or surgical methods to preserve a deteriorating joint. The main objectives of joint preservation include alleviating the pain in the joint, restoring normal movement and function, and eventually delaying or avoiding joint replacement surgery. The concept is usually customized based on individual, taking into account factors such as age, level of joint dysfunction, and activity level.
